Jab and Zoe spent their holidays in New Jersey. They had a restful vacation from December 18 until the 5th of January 2009. Jab and Zoe had a wonderful time bonding with their uncles and grandparents. It was freezingly cold in NJ but never dampen the spirit of the holidays!

Jab and Kayla on their Tito Jojo's Birthday at Moonstar, Daly City.

It's always a treat for Jab to see his cousin Kayla. It was the birthday celebration of their Uncle Jojo at Moonstar. The kids enjoyed a lot of sweets like ice cream, chocolates and cotton candy while the adults enjoyed the buffet food. There was an exchange gifts later that evening since the Boocs are flying out that weekend to New Jersey to spend their holidays there!

The birthday girl!!!!!

October 4 was the official birthday celebration of Zoe. It was held at Terrabay Gym and Recreation Center in South San Francisco. The party place was transformed into a Hawaiian paradise. There were leis all over the place, mini fruit baskets on the table, the walls were adorned with butterflies and the little kids enjoyed the colorful beach balls and ball pools scattered all over in the play area. There was a hula girl who came around who did the face painting and entertained the kids with magic shows. She even taught the little girls how to dance the hula. While the mommies were so busy chatting in the buffet area, the daddies had great time in the gym playing volleyball and basketball. The guests feasted on yummy foods but the lechon was the best!!!! We were so worried that the weather won't cooperate but fortunately it turned out nice. The only one who didn't cooperate much was the celebrant.......she whined and cried when some of the guests tried to approach her. Zoe was oblivious that it was her special day!!!!

It was a very special day as Zoe Elise turned 1 year-old on 18 September 2008. There was no party on that day but, instead, the family went out and had wonderful time at Safari Jungle in San Mateo. It was an indoor play gym with a huge jungle-themed structure and both, Jab and Zoe, enjoyed jumping and humping around in the bouncer.

Funny conversations with Jab

I thought of posting this 'coz I find it very amusing and I hope you do, too!

Scene 1: Union Square in Downtown Francisco

Jab: Tita Daintee, look at the Christmas lights and there's the big lantern........(he's like a pro-tour guide)
Tita Daintee: Come here Jab, let's take a picture of the giant Christmas Tree
Jab: (Suddenly burst with excitement) Look Tita Daintee! There's an alligator behind you!
Then all of us looked at to where Jab's pointing and we all started laughing....he's looking at the St. Francis ELEVATOR!


Scene 2: While staying with Tita's house one day...

Tita Rose: Can you give 5 objects that you find in the ocean?
Jab: Fishes...crabs...sharks
Tita Rose: 2 more!
Jab: Whale
Tita Rose: 1 more and you're the winner
And this time he's seriously thinking...and excitedly raised up both her arms declaring as if he got it right and said..
Jab: Scissors!!!!???
Tita Rose: Scissors?......ah, you mean, SEAHORSE!

Scene 3: McDonald's

Jab: Tita Rose, I want "alila"
Tita Rose: What is it?
Jab: "Alila" (sound so frustrated 'coz I couldn't get what he's trying to say)
Tita Rose: You want milk?
Jab: NO!!!...."alila"....the white one!
Tita Rose: Oh...vanilla...you want vanilla shake (now I finally figured it out)

This was Jab's official birthday celebration. He didn't have any party this year but he opted to have a celebration with his family at Dave and Buster on May 19 in Milpitas where he spent the day just playing video and arcade games. I would say that he's smart for his age. He's soooo good with computers and knows how to surf the internet already. Beside video games and computers, he also likes Spongebob, Solar System, puzzles, bubblegums, cars, trains and most of all just driving us crazy! Jab's growing so fast....and I just wish he's a baby forever :(

Jab and Zoe welcomed Summer 2008 with a bang! Here, they attended Carlos' 2nd birthday party at Silliman Family Aquatic Center in Newark where they enjoyed the food and loot bags, as well as, swimming with other kids. But it seems that little Zoe wasn't so thrilled about the water......

Jab and Zoe attended Marcus's 1st birthday last Saturday. Jab enjoyed playing with other kids while Zoe was just happily watching his brother at the sideline while bonding with the birthday boy. It was so funny when Jab told everyone there that it was his party knowing that he's turning 4 years old on the 19th. Sorry Jab, but no party for you this year but i'm sure your dad and mom have a surprise for you!

It was Zoe's first time to be with us, away from her mom and dad. We thought that we'll have a hard time babysitting her but she was so behaved the whole day. Not to mention that she and Jab were both under the weather at that time. It was Palm Sunday that day and took the kids to the church. We took them to the crying room just in case both them gets fussy. The mass took a very long time....but i guess, uck was on our side that day, Zoe slept the whole time while Jab was just busy playing with his car. Bravo to these munchkins!

I was digging out my archive files and found this video of Jab. It was his 1st birthday and we were babysitting him while his mom was doing some errands. He's sooo cute then....chubby, cuddly and giggly. Tito Jojo was so crazy about him. How I wish he's always a babe!

Jab here was about 13 or 14 months and likes to mess with everything! As a little boy, he like's anything that has wheels. Watch this video and see what he's holding....it's a wheel from one of his broken cars. He's so fixated with it that everytime he comes to my house, he always plays with it.

There was nothing much to do that afternoon so I decided to take Jab to Tanforan playground to have some fun with other kids. He made friends with several older kids but he made one girl cry when he accidentally pushed her on the slide! He had a blast playing there the whole time. The day was not complete, off course, without buying him a car at Target and eating chicken barbeque.
